Senior Advait Ramakrishnan gravitates towards a baggier style and he prefers the looser silhouette that these clothes create around him. According to Ramakrishnan, he takes both comfort and visual appeal into consideration when choosing his outfit for the day, with his inspiration primarily coming from his friends and social media platforms. 

 

“I like to wear baggy clothes and whatever is comfortable,” Ramakrishnan said. “I just see what's on TikTok and then I replicate [it] to the best of my ability. I like to thrift clothes. But I also like to get stuff with nice brand names, and whatever has good quality and [a] nice fit.” 

 

Furthermore, Ramakrishnan reflects on how his style has changed throughout the years, going from a relatively basic style to something more unique. He says that TikTok and Depop, a platform for users to resell their clothes, have helped him find great stylistic pieces. 

 

“I used to wear very simplistic stuff, like a shirt and shorts, but then I realized I need to start wearing pants more and I developed more of a baggy sense,” Ramakrishnan said. “[And I mainly] just go thrift because it's cheaper, a. And sometimes if I need pants, I prefer thrifting over going to a store because [there are] usually better finds.”
